Math Lab with Miss. Rubino

What is Math Lab? Math Lab allows extra time in the students' day to work on concepts that they are strugling with in their everyday Math class. Some students come to Math Lab every day for a full period, other students some to Math Lab during their Homebase ever other day. The classes are kept small to allow for more individualized attention. During the class time students work on basic skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divsion facts. These skills are essential for the success in the more complex topics that are covered in the regular Math curriculum. Additionally, students will work on new topics that are presented in their regular Math class and will review for upcoming tests and quizzes. They are encouraged to ask questions from their regular Math class. During class students partipcate in many different activities promoting hands on learning. These activities show students different strategies for solving problems, and allows them to practice new concepts. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
