Week 3/2:

3/2 QUIZ tomorrow. Biomes only, terrestrial and aquatic. 25 matching, given a statement identify which biome is described.
Biome packet is due before the quiz.
All missing assignments (except CA#2) are past due. Work will be accepted until Thursday, -1pt tomorrow, 2 points Wednesday, 3 points Thursday. If I don't receive work by Thursday, it will no longer be accepted.
I also need to know who you will be working with on the Endangered species project and your top five species, see project information above)

4/1 Community Succession Game analysis due tomorrow, 4/2

4/2 Marking Period ends. An extension has been allowed for turning in ALL owed assignments. Must be received by Tuesday morning (April 7th) for credit. Full credit will be earned but extra credit points will be deducted on late assignments.

Week 4/6:

4/6 LAST chance to turn in owed work tomorrow morning. Extra credit points will be taken off on late assignments.

4/8 Complete the Ecological Relationships packet started in class. Work on organizing your notebook according to the checklist. If you're missing anything WRITE it down and turn in tomorrow so copies can be made.

4/9 Mt St Helens eruption article and questions should have been completed and turned in before leaving class. If not turned in, do so on Monday, 4/20, when we return from the break.

Week 4/20:

4/20 Critical Analysis #6, 1st for this marking period, was due April 3rd! and #7 is due this Friday. Community Succession Game analysis, Ecological Relationships packet, Mt St Helens article all past due. Please turn in ASAP!
EXAM on Thursday, April 23rd. Notebook Check will take place during the exam. Please make sure your books are in order and with you on Thursday!

4/21 Reviewed more detailed instructions and requirements for Endangered Species Project. Everyone has an assigned species, a partner and a presentation date. If you are unsure of any of these, check the sheet in class. ESP#3 assigned.

4/22 HAPPY EARTH DAY! In class we went over two methods used for estimating a population size. Practice worksheet started in class is due Friday. I'm not looking for exact numbers but that you can correctly apply the formulas to different situations. Study for exam tomorrow and don't forget your notebook!

4/23 Exam on Community Dynamics

4/24 Due to the SADD assembly, some students made up the exam and the rest worked on owed assignments.

Week 4/27:

4/27 Video: Tigers in the Snow. We will watch the second half and complete the video worksheet tomorrow.

4/28 Finished watching ''Tigers of the Snow'', worksheet completed and turned in.
Exams returned for remediation, DUE TOMORROW or original grade stands, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Remember, Friday will be a research day in the LMC. Please bring any research you have done on your species. This will give you a chance to work with you partner and view additional resources for your project. There will be a worksheet to turn in at the end of the class to ensure research is worked on.

4/29 Population Estimation Activity data collection. 1/2 the class collected quadrat sampling data, 1/2 the class collected mark and recapture data, then shared data. Everyone will complete the analysis of BOTH methods for homework.

4/30 Notes on effects of population size started. We will finish up next week. Remember, LMC tomorrow for project research and CA#8 due.

Week 5/4:

5/4 Complete population growth notes and worked on a limiting factor worksheet in class. If not finished in class it should be completed for homework.
Interim ends on Friday. All owed work must be in by Thursday to be graded and included for interim reports.
